We've had a busy couple of weeks in our family. Last Saturday, Derek and Meghan had a piano recital. They both did very well. This was Derek's first recital and he wasn't even nervous. Meghan finished the show with her 7 page memorized Sonatina in C Major. She'd already had a long morning at her first dance recital of the year down at Thanksgiving Point. She performed 3 dances--this is her costume from her jazz dance, Tribute to the Beattles. Once we got done with the competition and the recital, the highlight of my day was going to Provo with my mom and grandpa to watch the BYU basketball team beat Utah. Overall, it was a great day!

In other news, we are finally going to finish our basement!!! Those of you who are familiar with the increasing lack of space we've been experiencing since our children decided to grow up so fast will appreciate how excited we are to effectively double our living space. We spent several evenings cleaning it out, including finding many wedding gifts we'd forgotten about. Now it is an empty shell, waiting to turn into 2 bedrooms, a family room, a bathroom and laundry room. Meghan and Derek will be moving downstairs and Janie is already planning "sleepovers". Hopefully before summer we'll all be able to breathe a little more!!! That's it for now. Kids are back on track tomorrow!!!!!
